Omaha, Neb. -- On Tuesday, Sept. 22, former Bluejay Elliot Soto call up to the Los Angeles Angels roster marked the sixth former Bluejay to reach the highest level of professional baseball. After working through the minor league system for 11 seasons (2010-20), Soto is hoping to make his first MLB appearance over the final three games of the season.
Already during the shortened 2020 campaign former Bluejays Anthony Bemboom (Los Angeles Angels), Nicky Lopez (Kansas City Royals), Darin Ruf (San Francisco Giants) and Pat Venditte (Miami Marlins) have appeared in at least one game.
