OMAHA, Neb. -- Trailing 38-28 with 15:46 remaining in the second half the Creighton men's basketball team flipped the game with a 23-2 run as the Bluejays earned a 60-47 victory on Saturday, Jan. 22.
The win lifted the Bluejays to 12-5 overall and 4-2 in BIG EAST play, while DePaul fell to 10-8 on the season and 1-7 in conference action.
Sophomore Ryan Kalkbrenner ignited a 17-0 run for Creighton with a traditional three-point play. Following a layup by freshman Arthur Kaluma, Kalkbrenner threw down a dunk to force DePaul head coach Tony Stubblefield to use a timeout at 38-35 (13:07).
