MISSOULA, Mont. – Trailing 1-0 midway through the second half, the Creighton women's soccer team used an equalizing goal from junior in the 70 minute to earn a 1-1 draw against Gonzaga on Sunday, Aug. 21 in a neutral site match.
The Bluejays move to 0-0-2 on the season following Sunday's tie, while the Bulldogs move to 0-1-1 overall.
Gonzaga notched the first goal of the match in the 20th minute off a header from Marissa Garcia. The play was set into motion as Kacy Johnston fielded a pass down the sideline and dribbled around a Bluejay before sending a cross to the far post where Garcia found the back of the net.
