OMAHA, Neb. -- Creighton Volleyball's Kiara Reinhardt has been named the BIG EAST Defensive Player of the Week, league officials announced on Monday. Reinhardt averaged a league-high 1.83 blocks per set, in addition to 1.50 kills per set, 1.00 digs per set and 0.67 aces per set on .450 hitting in a pair of 3-0 road sweeps.
The Cedarburg, Wis,. native had five blocks and five kills on .714 hitting in Friday's win at Villanova, adding two digs. The Wildcats hit just .022 and had 23 kills in the contest.
Reinhardt concluded her weekend with six blocks, four kills and a career-high four aces in a 3-0 win at Georgetown.
