With the game tied 4-4 heading into the bottom of the eighth inning, Texas Tech was able to get a run home and shut down Arkansas. The Red Raiders stay alive in the College World Series with the 5-4 win on Monday afternoon.
Arkansas tied the game in the top of the eighth after giving up a 3-0 lead earlier in the game. With two outs in the bottom of the eighth, an opportunity arose when Texas Tech had a player hit by a pitch before Cody Masters then hit a run scoring triple to take the lead back.
