OMAHA, Neb. -- Creighton men's soccer sophomore goalkeeper Paul Kruse earned the final regular season BIG EAST Goalkeeper of the Week award following his nine-save performance on Wednesday at No. 3 Georgetown.
Kruse set a career-high with nine stops as the Bluejays played the third-ranked Hoyas to a 1-1 draw. The result gave Creighton the No. 4 seed and home-field advantage for Saturday's BIG EAST Championship First Round match.
The Heilbronn, Germany native has started nine matches for the Bluejays, including the last five after returning from injury. Kruse owns 39 saves and a 1.
