Villanova used a 25-8 run to end the first half and erase a 24-20 Creighton lead to help the Wildcats improve to 9-1 in Big East play and hand the Bluejays their third consecutive loss.
Phil Booth’s layup to close the opening 20 minutes pushed the Wildcats’ lead to 13.
Villanova equaled its strong end to the first half by scoring on five of its first seven possessions following halftime to take a 19-point lead.
The Wildcats led by as many as 31, and Creighton never cut the lead to less than 18 during the final 16 minutes.
