OMAHA, Neb. -- Cole Huff scored 18 points in the final 5:14 of the first half and a season-high 28 overall to lead Creighton to an 88-66 win over DePaul on Saturday afternoon before 17,139 fans at CenturyLink Center Omaha.
Creighton improved to 15-9 on the year and evened its BIG EAST record to 6-6. DePaul, coming off a win over No. 11 Providence on Tuesday, fell to 8-15 and is 2-9 in league play.
Creighton was leading 21-17 before embarking on a 12-0 run to bury the Blue Demons. The spurt started with two foul shots from Isaiah Zierden before Huff took matters into his own hands and scored the next 10 points.
