OMAHA, Neb. -- Creighton cross country junior Nick Monkemeyer has earned First Team Academic All-America distinction from the College Sports Information Directors of America. The team is sponsored by Google Cloud.
Monkemeyer is the first CoSIDA Academic All-American in Creighton Cross Country history, and the 11th student-athlete across all Bluejay sports to be named a First Team Academic All-American by CoSIDA. Creighton owns 41 CoSIDA Academic All-Americans in school history, who have combined to earn 51 honors.
A Rockford, Ill., product, Monkemeyer owns a perfect 4.00 GPA. The Doctor of Pharmacy candidate has been on the Dean's List each of his six semesters at Creighton and is a member of Creighton's Honors program.
