OMAHA, Neb. – Graduate student scored two goals and senior dished out two assists as the Creighton men's soccer team upset No. 7 Akron, 3-2, on Wednesday night inside Morrison Stadium.
With the win the Bluejays moved into second in the Midwest Division of the BIG EAST, improving its record to 3-2-1 in league play and to 4-5-5 on the season. Meanwhile, the Zips suffered their first loss of the season, falling to 9-1-5 overall and to 2-1-3 in BIG EAST play.
After a scoreless defensive battle in the first half, Creighton opened the flood gates and soared out to a 3-0 lead with goals in the 48, 63 and 84 minutes.
