OMAHA, Neb. -- The Creighton men's soccer team picked up a 2-1 victory over No. 21 Akron in front of a crowd of 4,818 during the Bluejays' home opener and Socctoberfest at Morrison Stadium on Friday night.
The Bluejays moved to 1-1-1 on the season while the Zips fell to 0-3-0 overall.

The Bluejays got on the board in the 33rd minute as senior Luke Haakenson beat an Akron defender and put a shot on goal but was denied by Zips' goalkeeper Tor Saunders.
