OMAHA, Neb. -- The Creighton men's soccer team fell to Tulsa, 2-1, during the season opener for both programs on Thursday night at Morrison Stadium.
Bluejay senior goalkeeper made eight saves -- one shy of his career-high for a single contest -- but the Golden Hurricane found the back of the net during the 77th and 82nd minutes.
Creighton freshman converted his first career goal as a Bluejay during the 89th minute on a penalty kick. Senior cut down the right-edge of the 18-yard box before drawing a foul near the end line to set up the penalty.
