OMAHA, Neb -- The Creighton men's soccer team held the Jeffrey C. Kasch Foundation Soccer Banquet on Saturday, Feb. 2 at the Old Mattress Factory. At the event, the team, coaches, staff members and supporters of men's soccer program reflected on the 2018 season, looked forward to the 2019 campaign and handed out individual awards.
Creighton ended the 2018 season with a 11-4-3 overall record and claimed the BIG EAST regular-season title with a 7-1-1 mark in league play. Sven Koenig earned BIG EAST Offensive Player of the Year accolades and Joel Rydstrand claimed the conference's Midfielder of the Year award, while Akeem Ward joined Koenig and Rydstrand on the All-BIG EAST First Team and Mitch LaGro and Paul Kruse made the All-Conference Second Team.
