OMAHA, Neb. -- The Creighton men's basketball team moved up two spots to eighth in this week's Associated Press Top 25 poll, tying a season-best in the writer's rankings. It's the 100th time that the Bluejays have been ranked in the AP poll under 14th-year head coach Greg McDermott.
The Bluejays are also fifth in the NET and eighth in this week's USA Today Coaches poll.
CU improved to 8-1 overall after winning its lone game last week, a 109-64 victory over Central Michigan.
This marks the 27th time in program history that Creighton has been in the AP Top 10 at any point, with all but one of those weeks happening during McDermott's tenure.
