WASHINGTON, D.C. -- Ty-Shon Alexander had 26 points, including the go-ahead three-pointer with 55.9 seconds left, to help Creighton snap a four-game losing streak with a 91-87 win at Georgetown on Monday evening.
Creighton improved to 11-8 with the win, and 2-4 in BIG EAST play. Georgetown is now 12-7 overall and also 2-4 in league play.
Creighton fell behind 21-13 in the first nine minutes before an 8-0 run evened the score with 7:40 to go in the opening half. The first half featured five ties but Creighton never led, as the Hoyas took a 42-41 edge to the locker room at intermission.
