OMAHA, Neb. -- The Creighton men's basketball program will have three alums in action as the National Basketball Association season tips off this week. continuing a school tradition of Bluejays playing at pro basketball's highest level. Including 2024-25, Creighton has now had an NBA player in 41 of the last 42 years, and 58-of-61 seasons since 1964-65.
Doug McDermott is entering his 11th season in the NBA, and first with the Sacramento Kings after being signed last week. Both Trey Alexander and Baylor Scheierman will be making their professional debuts, Alexander with the Denver Nuggets and Scheierman with the defending champion Boston Celtics.
