The NCAA accepted a bid by Creighton and the CHI Health Center Omaha to host first- and second-round March Madness matchups for 2024 between the nation’s best Division One teams.
During each bid cycle, Creighton partners with its home court, the CHI Health Center arena, to bid against the country’s other cities for the opportunity to host the popular tournament games.
“The competition for these sites is pretty fierce, so the fact that we were included in this bid cycle is the news of the day,” said Creighton’s Associate Athletic Director Kevin Sarver in a recorded press conference following the bid announcement.
