It’s that time of the year for the Creighton women’s basketball team. After posting a 17-11 record and a fourth-place finish in the Big East regular season standings, the Jays head to Chicago where the Big East Women’s Basketball Tournament will get underway with a pair of play-in games on Saturday at Wintrust Arena. With an RPI hovering slightly above 50, a strong strength of schedule, and several quality wins on their resume, Creighton finds itself in contention for a second consecutive NCAA Tournament at-large bid, so of course the team that once again will provide the first hurdle for them to clear in the Windy City is postseason rival St.
