WASHINGTON, D.C. -- Creighton softball freshman went 3-for-4 with a home run and four RBIs, but the Bluejays fell to Georgetown 5-4 on Sunday at the Washington Nationals Youth Academy.
Mills finished the weekend 5-for-9 with three homers, seven RBIs, four runs scored and three walks for a .556 batting average, .615 on-base percentage and 1.556 slugging percentage during Creighton's first three games of league action.
With the loss, the Bluejays fell to 10-11 overall and 1-2 in BIG EAST play, while the Hoyas improved to 2-1 in league play and 9-22 overall.
Georgetown used a sixth inning grand slam to spoil Creighton's chances of winning the weekend series.
