OMAHA, Neb. -- Junior Ryan Kalkbrenner delivered 22 points, going 10-for-10 from the field to lead #10 Creighton to an 94-65 win over Holy Cross on Monday, November 14.
The win moved the Bluejays to 3-0 on the season, while Holy Cross fell to 1-2.
Creighton took control from the opening tip as the Bluejays rattled off eight straight points in two minutes, including three dunks by Kalkbrenner. A layup and two more dunks from Kalkbrenner in the first eight minutes forced Holy Cross to change its defensive strategy. Moving to a zone defense, the Crusaders allowed Creighton to pick them apart from beyond the arc, closing the game with 12 three-pointers from eight different players.
