OMAHA, Neb. -- Creighton Men's Basketball guard Pop Isaacs has been named BIG EAST Player of the Week.
Isaacs had 27 points, seven rebounds and four assists while playing all but 74 seconds in Creighton's 76-63 win over No. 1 Kansas on Wednesday.
Isaacs made 10-of-15 shots from the floor, including 6-of-9 three-point tries, and also made his only free throw attempt. The 27 points were the most in Creighton history against a top-ranked team and was just the second CU victory ever against the nation's No. 1 squad.
Creighton has now beaten at least one Top 10 team each of the last 10 seasons.
