WASHINGTON, D.C. -- Georgetown used a 27-8 run in the second half to hand Creighton an 81-57 loss at Georgetown on Wednesday night in the nation's capital in the BIG EAST opener for both squads.
Georgetown improved to 9-2 on the season (1-0 BIG EAST), matching its win total in 32 contests from a year ago. Creighton dropped to 7-5 after losing its league opener.
Georgetown got baskets from Caleb Williams, Micah Peavy and Curtis Williams Jr. during a 7-0 run in a span of 49 seconds to take a 21-15 lead and force a Bluejay timeout.
