Omaha, Neb. -- A furious final four minutes saw the Creighton women's basketball team overcome an eight point deficit to secure a 57-54 win over Northern Iowa on Sunday, Dec. 8th.
With the win Creighton moved to 7-2 on the season, while Northern Iowa fell to 5-3.
Both teams got off to a slow start as the familiarity of the coaching staff made buckets difficult to come by. The Bluejays held a 6-5 edge at the first media timeout (3:50) despite shooting 3-of-11 (27.3%). Northern Iowa, meanwhile, committed five turnovers in the first six minutes.
