OMAHA, Neb. -- Payton Brotzki had 14 of her career-high 18 points in the first half, and Temi Carda had 13 of her 15 points after the break as the Creighton women's basketball team delivered head coach Jim Flanery his 350th career victory with a 65-57 win vs. Georgetown on Saturday, January 30th.
The game was Creighton's (4-6, 3-3 BIG EAST) first since January 3 after eight different postponements related to COVID-19 and helped the Bluejays climb into sixth place in the BIG EAST standings. Georgetown (1-7, 1-7 BIG EAST) lost its sixth consecutive game.
