CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. -- Creighton University had five women who are among the 1,497 collegiate golfers recognized by the Women's Golf Coaches Association as All-American Scholars. The Bluejay honorees include freshmen Abby Aeschleman, Annie Dawson and Katharine Marshall, sophomore Annika Yturralde and junior Eleanor Hudepohl.
Creighton's five honorees were the third-most in the BIG EAST, trailing only St. John's (7) and Seton Hall (6). It's the fifth straight season that Creighton's had at least five players recognized.
The criteria for selection to the All-American Scholar Team are some of the most stringent in all of college athletics.
