OMAHA, Neb. -- Eight Creighton programs have been recognized by the NCAA for having perfect multi-year Academic Performance Rate (APR) scores in their respective sports. Creighton's men's cross country, men's golf, men's tennis, men's track, women's basketball, women's cross country, women's tennis and women's track teams each were honored.

Creighton's eight perfect scores led the state's Division I Universities and trailed only Villanova (13) among its BIG EAST peers. Among BIG EAST institutions, only Villanova and Marquette owned a higher percentage of teams with a perfect APR score than Creighton's 50 percent.

The APR is an annual scorecard of academic achievement calculated for all Division I sports teams and measures eligibility, graduation and retention each semester or academic term, providing a clear picture of the academic performance for each team in every sport.
