Game 2 of the 2019 College World Series was a pitching dual between Arkansas and Florida State. The Seminoles end up playing some small ball to get the 1-0 victory and advance in the winners bracket.
Starters Isaiah Campbell and Drew Parrish kept the bats on both sides pretty much silent in the day 1 nightcap keeping it scoreless throughout. However, in the ninth inning, Florida State got their leadoff batter on after being hit by a pitch, a fielder’s choice that advanced J.C. Flowers to 2nd, a bunt laid down to get the Flowers to 3rd, and a sacrifice fly scored Flowers to give the 1-0 lead.
