OMAHA, Neb. -- The Creighton University men's and women's cross country programs have each been honored by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association for their academic achievements in the classroom. Both squads on Thursday garnered USTFCCCA All-Academic Team recognition.
The Creighton women's cross country program owns a 3.78 cumulative GPA, while the men earned a 3.55 GPA.
Overall, there were 237 women's teams and 191 men's programs that received All-Academic honors in NCAA Division I. In order to qualify for All-Academic distinction, teams must have a cumulative GPA of 3.
