OMAHA, Neb. -- Playing in front of 11,279 fans at the CHI Health Center, the 19th-ranked Creighton Volleyball team fell to No. 3 Nebraska in straight sets on Wednesday, Sept. 8. Set scores for the match were 25-14, 25-22, 25-16.
The loss dropped the Bluejays to 6-1 on the season, while the Huskers climbed to 6-0.
In each set an extending Nebraska run provided to be the Bluejays undoing. Holding an early 6-4 edge in the opening frame, Creighton yielded seven of eight points to give the Huskers an 11-7 edge. Nebraska went on to claim the opening set 25-14, out hitting Creighton .
