Creighton Softball improves to 10-7 over spring break

The Jays (10-7) were able to take the series over Southeast Missouri (9-9), picking up a victory on Friday and then splitting the doubleheader on Saturday. The first game saw both teams trading runs back and forth through six innings with a score of 3-3. Freshman pitcher Logan Black made quick work of the Redhawks in the top of the seventh inning, and junior second baseman Kelli Finan hit a walk-off three-run homer to give the Jays the win in the opener.

“They threw me two riseballs and I swung out of my shoes for that,” Finan said.
