Outdoor soccer, flag football, softball, and 4-on-4 volleyball have made their return to the schedule, and with the warmer spring weather creating new options for outdoor activities, students are able to use the turf field at the Kitty Gaughan Pavilion as a site for intramural sports.
Creighton intramural has increased the number of teams by 100 on the year, and a record 500 freshmen have participated this year. With this turnout, intramural sports have cut forfeits by 30 percent from last year.
“Our students love getting outside, even if the start of the season is still a bit chilly,” says Greg Durham, assistant director for competitive sports.
