Creighton Has Six Teams Earn APR Public Recognition Awards From NCAA

OMAHA, Neb. -- The NCAA has recognized six Creighton teams for its Academic Progress Rate during the 2015-16 academic year.

Creighton's men's cross country, men's tennis, women's basketball, women's cross country, women's golf and women's tennis teams earned the APR Public Recognition Award in the NCAA's latest rankings released Wednesday. To qualify, teams must rank in the top 10 percent nationally in the APR of their sport.

The APR is an annual scorecard of academic achievement calculated for all Division I sports teams and provides a real-time look at a team's academic success each semester by tracking the academic progress of each student-athlete on scholarship.
