Creighton Has Seven Teams Earn APR Public Recognition Awards From NCAA

OMAHA, Neb. -- The NCAA has recognized seven Creighton teams for its Academic Progress Rate during the 2014-15 academic year.

Creighton's men's cross country, men's golf, men's tennis, women's softball, women's basketball, women's cross country and women's tennis teams earned the APR Public Recognition Award in the NCAA's latest rankings released Wednesday. To qualify, teams must rank in the top 10 percent nationally in the APR of their sport.

The APR provides a real-time look at a team's academic success each semester by tracking the academic progress of each student-athlete on scholarship. The APR accounts for eligibility, retention and graduation and provides a measure of each team's academic performance.
