OMAHA, Neb. -- Four Creighton programs were recognized with Public Recognition Awards from the NCAA for having multi-year Academic Performance Rate (APR) scores in the top 10 percent of all squads in their respective sports.
Creighton's women's basketball, women's cross country, women's golf and women's tennis teams earned the APR Public Recognition Award in the NCAA's latest rankings released Wednesday.
The APR measures eligibility, graduation and retention each semester or academic term and provides a clear picture of the academic performance for each team in every sport. Largely as a result of an increase in perfect scores, teams earning Public Recognition Awards increased to 1,328, up by 44 from the previous academic year.
