Men’s basketball dropped a 73-48 decision to Georgetown in the Big East finals Saturday night.
Aside from a quick start to lead the game from the Jays, the Hoyas carried the game as they shot 46.6% compared to the Jays’ 28.8%.
Coach Greg McDermott and junior guard Marcus Zegarowski agreed it was a game of momentum Saturday night.
“So much of it is momentum, and when you have momentum you don’t think of being fatigued and you’re not a half step slow,” McDermott said. “We had that momentum early we got off to that lead and then they really captured it after that.
