OMAHA – The Creighton Athletic Department had seven teams honored by the NCAA with Public Recognition Awards in its most recent Academic Progress Rate (APR) reports with a perfect score.
Creighton's men's cross country, men's golf, men's tennis, women's softball, women's basketball, women's cross country and women's tennis teams each earned a perfect score in the rankings, which were unveiled for the first time today. Last Wednesday the NCAA had disclosed that the schools with scores in the top 10 percent of each respective sport.
The APR measures eligibility, graduation, and retention each semester or quarter and provides a picture of the academic performance for scholarship student-athletes competing on every Division I athletic team.
