PROVO, Utah -- Freshman Zac Seljaas made 5 of 6 3-pointers and scored 19 points and BYU used a big second half to beat Creighton 88-82 on Tuesday night in the NIT quarterfinals.
The Cougars (26-10) will face Valparaiso (29-6), which beat BYU's fellow West Coast Conference member Saint Mary's, at Madison Square Garden on March 29.
Seljaas nailed an open 3-pointer to give BYU its first double-digit lead at 61-51 with 11:19 left. Then Seljaas and Nick Emery hit 3s on the Cougars next two possessions to cap a 12-1 run for a 67-52 lead.
