Omaha, Neb. -- Creighton Baseball dropped its BIG EAST opening game to Butler 5-1 on Friday, April 5.
The loss moved the Bluejays to 22-5 on the season and 0-1 in BIG EAST play, while Butler climbed to 13-14 overall and 1-0 in conference action.
Butler took a 2-0 lead in the fourth courtesy of a two-run home run to right from Kade Lewis.
The Bulldog advantage ballooned to 5-0 in the fifth as Carter Dorighi greeted reliever with a two-run single to center and Jack Moroknek laced an RBI single to center later in the frame.
