The Jays dropped a 60-48 decision to Big East foe Providence Wednesday night in the Jays’ Pink Out game.
A typically well-attended and emotional game, it looked different this year with crowd restrictions.
“We’re always grateful for the opportunity to do it, it’s impactful not only in the terms of raising dollars but in giving our players an opportunity to think about how cancer has affected every family,” coach Jim Flanery said. “I’m appreciative we had the opportunity to do it even in a year like this.”
Tonight’s game was only the third game the team has played since the program faced COVID-19 restrictions in early January.
