Bluejay Women's Soccer Picked Ninth in 2018 BIG EAST Poll

Omaha, Neb. -- One day after opening the 2018 exhibition slate, the Creighton women's soccer team was picked to finish ninth in the annual BIG EAST Preseason Coaches Poll. The poll as well as the Preseason All-BIG EAST Team were announced on Thursday, Aug. 9.

Back-to-back league champion Georgetown was the overwhelming favorite. The Hoyas earned all nine possible first-place votes and took home two of the three preseason major awards – BIG EAST Preseason Defensive Player of the Year Meaghan Nally and Goalkeeper of the Year Arielle Schechtman.
Reigning BIG EAST Offensive Player of the Year Paige Monaghan of Butler won the preseason recognition by unanimous vote.
