Omaha, Neb. -- Adhering to health guidelines, Creighton's women's soccer and women's cross country teams took to Morrison Stadium late in the afternoon on Friday, Aug. 21 to begin a climb back to what the student-athletes love, competing.
The Bluejay squads were not alone as men's soccer was on the pitch earlier in the day. Each of Creighton's 14 teams are hitting the field/court for practice in the coming days.
While the first date of competition remains unknown for every program, student-athletes and coaches alike were excited to come together once more.
"It felt really good to get together and practice, to hear a ball being kicked around in the background," said cross country head coach Chris Gannon while overlooking activity at Morrison Stadium.
