Omaha, Neb. -- Leading 2-0 at the break, Creighton Men's Soccer battled through a frantic second half to earn a 4-2 victory over San Francisco in the second match of the Jesuit Invitational on Sunday, September 1.
The win lifted the Bluejays to 2-0-2 on the season, while San Francisco fell to 0-2-2.
Creighton built its 2-0 lead in the opening frame as senior banged home a penalty kick in the 33rd minute (32:35). In the closing seconds of the first half, literally the final second to be precise, the Bluejays pushed in a second goal by scoring on a corner kick.
