Omaha, Neb. -- In the last match before conference play, Creighton Men's Soccer was propelled by three first half goals to defeat Tulsa 3-0 on the first annual Cancer Awareness Night match on Saturday, September 14.
The victory advanced the Bluejays to 4-1-2 and the loss dropped the Golden Hurricanes to 1-4-1.
Creighton came out firing immediately as junior took advantage of an errant Tulsa pass near its own box. Torres beat his Hurricane defender to the ball, then chipped it over the goalie's head to net the first point of the match 48 seconds into play.
