BIG EAST Honors Alexander, Krampelj and Zegarowski

NEW YORK, N.Y. -- Three players from the Creighton men's basketball team have been honored by the BIG EAST in a vote of league basketball coaches.

Ty-Shon Alexander and Martin Krampelj were named Honorable Mention All-BIG EAST, and Marcus Zegarowski was a unanimous selection to the league's All-Freshman Team. It's the first postseason league honor for all three men.

Alexander leads Creighton with 16.1 points per game, well above the 5.5 points per contest he scored a year ago. The sophomore from Charlotte, N.C., set a school-record by making a three-pointer in 33 straight games, and ranks fourth in the BIG EAST by making 2.
