OMAHA, Neb. – Creighton junior pitcher Rollie Lacy was selected in the 11th round by the Chicago Cubs, and junior pitcher Keith Rogalla was selected by the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim in the 12th round during the 2017 Major League Baseball Draft on Wednesday, June 14.
Lacy and Rogalla are the 24th and 25th Creighton draft selections since Ed Servais took over as head coach in 2004. This year also marks the second consecutive season in which two Bluejays were selected in the 12th round or earlier, as Nicky Lopez was selected in the fifth round by the Kansas City Royals and Daniel Woodrow was selected in the 12th round by the Detroit Tigers during the 2016 MLB Draft.
