Omaha, Neb. -- Due to forecast calling for freezing conditions throughout the weekend, including likely snow on Saturday, Creighton and CSU Bakersfield Baseball have mutually agreed to cancel the Bluejays' home opening series with the Roadrunners.
Slated to begin their three-game series on Friday, March 10 at 6:30 pm, Creighton head coach Ed Servais and CSU Bakersfield skipper Jeremy Beard sited the likelihood of unplayable conditions as well as player safety concerns as the reason for the decision.
Given the distance between CSU Bakersfield and Creighton, the games will not be rescheduled.
Tickets for this canceled games can be redeemed for any remaining regular season home games at the Creighton Ticket Office located inside the Ryan Athletic Center (open 9:00 am to 4:30 pm on weekdays) or at the TD Ameritrade Park Omaha Box Office on game days only starting one hour prior to first pitch.
