The loss moved the Bluejays to 31-16 on the season and 4-12 in BIG EAST contests, while Connecticut climbed to 29-20 overall and 14-3 in conference play.
Creighton got off to a fast start as the Bluejays seized a 2-0 lead in the opening frame behind a two-run double from Matt Scherrman. Nolan Sailors led off the game with a single to center, then Teddy Deters drew a one-out walk.
