Omaha, Neb. -- Sophomore went 3-for-4, including a go-ahead two-run double in the sixth inning as the Creighton Baseball team opened BIG EAST play with an 8-5 win over Georgetown on Friday, April 8th.
Creighton improved to 10-0 at home and is now 16-8 overall (1-0 BIG EAST), while Georgetown dropped to 19-11 and evened its BIG EAST record to 2-2.
Creighton had to overcome a pair of deficits to earn the victory, falling behind 1-0 in the first inning and 4-3 after three frames.
Roden doubled in his first at bat and scored on junior single up the middle to tie the game at 1-1 in the first inning.
