OMAHA, Neb. -- The Creighton baseball team fell 2-1 in extra innings to Utah Valley on Friday night during the Bluejays home-opener at TD Ameritrade Park Omaha.
The Bluejays are now 1-11, while the Wolverines improved to 4-12.
Utah Valley took an early lead with a two-out RBI.
Creighton starter Rollie Lacy struck out the first batter he faced and induced a ground out to third before Zac Willis singled to left field.
After a walk to put a pair of runners on, Nick Simmons delivered with a single to center field to drive in Willis from second base and give the Wolverines a 1-0 lead.
