OMAHA, Neb. -- The Creighton Baseball team continued its in-state and midweek dominance on Tuesday afternoon with a 2-1 victory over crosstown rival Omaha. The game was played in front of 9,785 fans on Cox Kid's Day, which marked Creighton's largest home crowd since 2019.
The win improved Creighton (33-16) to 12-0 in midweek match-ups this season and 6-0 against in-state teams after winning all three games this season from both Omaha and Nebraska. All three Creighton wins over Omaha this year have come by exactly one run, which helped the Jays move to 28-4 in non-conference victories.
